Knit Baby Hat

I love this little knit hat I made baby Arlo recently.  The pattern is from the purlbee.com and the yarn I found in my stash, not sure of the brand.  I just love the green color of the yarn.

Dogwood

Lately the boys and I have been relaxing under the dogwood tree.  Warm days are slowly coming to an end here in the Pacific Northwest and the dogwood tree leaves will soon be gone.  Hopefully the drought will be over soon, but we will see.  I have moments here and there to work on various projects, like the little sprig embroidery I finished.

Wedding Monogram Cross-Stitch

Here is a cross-stitch I made for a friend who got married last month.  The pattern for the monogram cross-stitch is from the book A Rainbow of Stitches.

Arlo

Spring is in full swing here in Northern California and the warm weather has arrived.  The dogwood tree and wild lupine are blooming.  And we have a new addition to our family, baby boy Arlo.  I just love the brother love that is developing between Taj and Arlo.  Arlo just loves when Taj talks to him and he is only three weeks old.  I bought the moby wrap on ebay and really love it, I didn't have one with Taj (I used the ergo when he was bigger), but I knew I needed something easy to carry him in when I gotta chase a three year old around.  And yes Taj can ride a bike, he didn't get his cordination from me.  The trick is don't use training wheels , just start them on a push bike.
There hasn't been much sewing going on lately, I'm still trying to balance caring for these two boys and get some sleep:)
